Dopo aver ottenuto la laurea triennale in Scienze dei Beni Culturali all'Università statale di Milano, si trasferisce a Roma. Durante quei primi anni di formazione, ha l'occasione di lavorare su set internazionali e importanti spot con direttori della fotografia del calibro di David Tattersall BSC, Morten Søborg e Seamus McGarvey ASC BSC. Negli stessi anni accumula esperienza nei set di alcune delle serie originali di Sky più iconiche della metà degli anni Dieci, da “1992”, prodotta da Wildside, a “Gomorra”, prodotta da Cattleya. Il 2019 è l'anno del suo esordio alla fotografia di un lungometraggio. Lavora con Alessio Liguori sul set del suo “In the Trap”, un brillante film horror molto apprezzato al Sitges festival. L’anno successivo, nel 2020, firma la fotografia di un’altra pellicola horror Netflix original, il lungometraggio “Il legame”, opera prima del regista pugliese Domenico De Feudis interpretato da Mía Maestro e Riccardo Scamarcio e prodotto da Htfilm e Indigo. Sempre nel corso del 2020 firma la fotografia del film “Shortcut”, un altro horror di Alessio Liguori, prodotto da Play Entertainment e distribuito da Minerva, che otterrà un ottimo successo in sala, entrando, nel settembre del 2020, al settimo posto della top ten dei film più visti negli Stati Uniti in quella settimana. Tra il 2022 e il 2023, continua a lavorare come direttore della fotografia, lavorando alla serie “Vanina”, prodotta da Palomar, e dei lungometraggi “Blackbits” prodotto da Minerva e “La coda del diavolo”, prodotto da Groenlandia, la cui uscita nelle sale italiane è prevista per gennaio 2024.

Luca received a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences from the Università degli Studi di Milano Statale. He then moved to Rome and, even during his earliest years of training, has had the opportunity to work on international sets and major commercials. He has worked with highly respected directors of photography (DOPs) within the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) and the American Society of
Cinematographers (ASC), to the likes of David Tattersall (BSC), Morten Søborg (BSC, ASC) and Seamus McGarvey (BSC, ASC). Luca has also gained experience through some of the most iconic Italian sets, from Wildside Productions’s 1992 series to Cattleya Productions’s hit show, Gomorra. In 2019, he debuted as a cinematographer on Alessio Liguori’s horror film, In the Trap, which was much appreciated at the Sitges Festival. The following year, Luca worked as a cinematographer on the Netflix original horror movie, The Binding, which was Domenico De Feudis’s directorial debut. The film starred Mía Maestro and Riccardo Scamarcio and was produced by HT Film and Indigo Film. Luca also signed on as a cinematographer for Alessio Liguori’s 2020 horror film, Shortcut, which was produced by Play Entertainment and distributed by Minerva Pictures. Shortcut achieved success in theatres and during September of 2020 it reached 7th place in the Top Ten Most Watched Movies in the United States. Through 2022 and 2023, Luca continued to work as a DOP, having worked on the Palomar produced series, Vanina, and the feature film Blackbits, produced by >Minerva Pictures. In 2024, he was the DOP for De Feudis’s La coda del diavolo, an action-thriller produced by Groenlandia Group and Ascent Film for Sky Television.
